    The Mold Hound Co.

    Effective Date: 6/26/2025

    1. Scope of Services
The Mold Hound Co. provides canine mold detection services. Our trained dog, Cash, and handler perform non‑invasive inspections to identify mold‑related odors. These inspections do not include destructive testing, sampling, or laboratory analysis. A canine inspection is one tool within an overall mold evaluation strategy and should not be the sole method used to determine mold presence.

We do not provide mold remediation services or write remediation protocols.

    2. Photos, Videos & Media Use
    • We collect photos and videos on each job for documentation, training, and marketing purposes.
    • Our dog, Cash, may wear a camera during inspections to capture field footage.
    • We may publicly share reviews, general inspection footage, or testimonials on our website and social media platforms.
    • We may request client testimonials but participation is always voluntary.
    • No names, addresses, or identifying features will be disclosed without prior written consent.
    • All media remains the property of The Mold Hound Co.

    3. Client Responsibilities
Pet Control: All pets must be secured or removed before the inspection. Failure to comply will result in cancellation and forfeiture of any deposit.
Access: Clients must provide clear access to all inspection areas.
Safety: Clients must disclose any known hazards and ensure a safe environment for the dog and handler.

    4. Deposits & Cancellations
Local Inspections: A non‑refundable $250 deposit is required to secure an appointment.
Notice: Cancellations with more than 48‑hours’ notice may apply the deposit to a new booking within 90 days. Cancellations with less than 48‑hours’ notice forfeit the deposit.
Rescheduling: The Mold Hound Co. may reschedule or cancel appointments due to weather, illness, or unforeseen circumstances.

    5. Limitations & Disclaimer
No Guarantees: While highly effective, canine detection is not infallible and does not guarantee the complete absence of mold.
No Liability for Remediation: Clients are solely responsible for any further testing or remediation decisions and associated costs.
Third‑Party Testing: Independent sampling or laboratory testing is recommended to verify the presence and type of mold.
Odor Accessibility: Mold odors that are fully sealed or located above Cash’s scent range (e.g., high ceilings) may not be detected.
Property Damage: The Mold Hound Co. is not liable for incidental damage (e.g., scratches or tipped items) caused during inspections.

    6. Confidentiality
Client identity and address remain confidential. Photos or videos may be used for marketing or education, but no identifying details will be shared without written consent.

    7. Indemnification
Client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless The Mold Hound Co. and its agents from any claims arising out of participation in or reliance on our inspection.

    8. Limitation of Liability
The Mold Hound Co.’s total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the inspection service. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages.

    9. Weather & Unforeseen Delays
Appointments may be rescheduled due to inclement weather or unsafe site conditions.

    10. Dispute Resolution
Disputes shall first be submitted to non‑binding mediation. If unresolved, they shall be settled by binding arbitration under local jurisdiction.

    11. Force Majeure
The Mold Hound Co. is not liable for delays or failures due to events beyond our reasonable control (e.g., natural disasters, acts of God, regulatory changes).

This document constitutes the complete agreement between the client and The Mold Hound Co. regarding the inspection service.

    13. Severability & Waiver
