Our Services

  • Hound Sweep

Mold detection powered by the unmatched accuracy of our expertly trained K9, Cash. This non-invasive inspection locates hidden mold by scent — identifying problem areas that traditional assessors and tools often miss.

Dogs excel where equipment can’t reach:
    • Behind walls and under floors
    • Inside carpets, furniture, and upholstery
    • In showers and around tile

Ideal for health-conscious families or anyone facing unexplained symptoms at home or workplace.

  • After Cash highlights areas of concern, we take a closer look using a few key diagnostic tools — moisture meters, a hygrometer, and infrared thermal imaging — to help identify where moisture may be present and what conditions exist that could support mold growth.

Every inspection is approached with the same standard: thorough, detail-oriented, and as complete as possible within reasonable access. We don't rush the process — a typical inspection runs 2 to 3 hours because we believe the findings are only as good as the effort put into finding them.

This step helps us provide more context around what Cash found and give you a clearer picture of what's going on. Findings are limited to what is reasonably accessible and observable during the inspection.

Our goal is to give you enough information to move forward with the right professionals.

  • When visible mold is present, surface sampling through tape lift or swab can confirm what you're looking at and identify the species involved — information that can matter when deciding on remediation scope and urgency.

Surface samples are collected directly from the affected area and sent to an accredited third-party laboratory for analysis. This ensures unbiased results, clear lab interpretation, and objective data with no conflict of interest.

Surface testing can help answer questions like: Is this actually mold, or something else? What species is present? Is this an aggressive or toxigenic strain? Has remediation successfully removed the growth?

The purpose of surface sampling is not to create fear — but to give you evidence-backed answers when you need to understand exactly what's in your home. We guide you through collecting the samples, reviewing the lab report, and deciding on next steps.

Surface sampling is available when it supports your decision-making — never as a required upsell.

  • Once mold has been identified and the moisture source located, the next step is remediation — the removal of mold and correction of the conditions that allowed it to grow. This work is performed by licensed remediation professionals, not The Mold Hound Co.

We do not perform remediation, write remediation scopes or protocols, oversee remediation contractors, or refer remediation companies. This is intentional. Keeping our role strictly limited to detection ensures our findings remain completely unbiased and free from any conflict of interest.

What we provide is a professional inspection report documenting what was found and where. This report is yours to share with any remediation company you choose, giving them a clear picture of our findings before work begins.
